A light that looks almost artificial—reminiscent of a smartphone flash—picks the strawberry out of the darkness.
At first, the fruit appears succulent and alluring, until the eye notices that its seeds have been replaced by tiny skulls. The work speaks to the fragility of pleasure:
happiness is captivating, yet fleeting and finite. The unnaturally oversized fruit becomes an image of excess—an attempt to fill an inner void with pleasure,
where the enjoyment itself already holds a reminder of its own end.
